Originally a chef from Rochester, Steve Frank has recently brought his home bakery business, Lost Woods Bread Co., to our town of Naples. After 18 years in the restaurant industry, Steve Frank began his passion for handcrafting artisan sourdough bread in early 2018. He specializes in small-batch, hand-crafted, naturally leavened breads that not only taste better, but are better for you. Sourdough levain consists of nothing other than simply flour and water. It’s richer in mineral and nutrient content due to lower phytate levels and is more easily digested.
Naples has seen its fair share of new businesses despite challenges faced by the pandemic, including Naples Brewing Co. and Plenty the Bakery. Frank says that while he’s seen his own challenges, the pandemic has also brought a lot of growth for his bakery.

your food is coming from or how it’s processed, it’s comforting to know exactly what you’re
